Almost done!We are in the final stretch and your child is wrapping up his/her final quarter as a sixth grader. The time will pass quickly, so please stay tuned in to the blog and the Edmodo calendar for your informational updates. Many parents have opted to take vacations outside of the designated Spring Break dates and have asked for work to be prepared and sent home in advance. This is not always possible, and I want my students to understand that they miss so much more learning than just the products they make up for their grades. I post missing work daily on Edmodo so absent students will know what needs to be completed. This doesn't include all of the details of what was actually done in class that day to enhance their learning.
Lesson plans are just that, a plan. I have to be flexible and adjust according to a number of factors, so it does not make sense to send home what was planned but more importantly what we actually did. This prevents students from wasting their time on items that were never addressed. I am flexible with work completion for students who are absent due to the fact that it is nearly impossible to catch up and keep up at the same time. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
It has been brought to my attention that some of my students have been hanging out after school at the library. Unsupervised students are not permitted to loiter on the library grounds. Inappropriate activities have been known to occur there and have resulted in the issuing tickets to parents for $500. 00. Please do not allow your child to stay after school unattended.
